Detectives in London fear a pregnant mother may have been murdered when she plunged from to her death in the middle of the night.
Authorities were called to Queen’s Park Sunday morning just after 3am when it was reported that a woman had fallen from the third floor of an apartment building, according to The London Evening Standard.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Georgina ‘China’ Drinkwater, a mother of two who was reportedly six months pregnant with her third child.
Following her death, Scotland Yard arrested a man on the scene on suspicion of murder. The man was questioned, but released until next month, according to The Daily Mail.
One of Drinkwater’s friends has speculated that she was trying to get away from someone.
“I heard she was trying to get away from someone when she fell,” the unidentified friend said.
Friends and family have taken to Twitter and other social media sites to express their grief.
While police are looking into Drinkwater’s death, it has not yet been ruled a homicide and will not be ruled one until it can be determined what the victim was doing in the moments before her death.
Police are also asking any witnesses to come forward with information.
