Binge-watching of House of Cards season two is still underway for many Netflix fans across the world but for the 2% of the Netflix population that concluded the series over the Valentine's Day weekend but season three might already have a delay.

Season three was ordered from Netflix before season two even had debuted online, The Hollywood Reporter.

The production company behind Cards, Media Rights Capital has sent a letter to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, in which the show asked for $15 million in tax credits, Contact Music reported. If the show cannot get the tax credits that they requested they will have to move states and start filming elsewhere. This would cause a delay in season three.

Filming for the next season of the popular Netflix political drama series was initially scheduled to begin in early spring.

Cards was initially planned as a two season show but due to high demand and viewership Netflix moved forward with more seasons.
