Investigators have asked prosecutors to charge Justin Bieber in the alleged egg-throwing case.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. has sent Bieber’s case to the district attorney and investigators are recommending that prosecutors charge the pop star with felony vandalism over a misdemeanor for the egg-tossing incident.

"I went to the D.A.'s Office today with the paperwork, and I want a felony. Of course I want a felony,” said Lt. Dave Thompson.

However, D.A. spokesman Ricardo Santiago tells CNN that “No decision will be made this week."

The Canadian-born pop sensation is accused of throwing eggs at his nextdoor neighbor’s house on January 9 and causing an estimated $20,000 in damage.

Bieber has a string of troubles lately which all led up to his DUI arrest in Miami last month.

After his arrest, friends and family said they wanted to conduct an intervention for the Baby singer and suggest that he check into a rehab facility.
