Russian punk band collective has released an anti-Russian President Vladimir Putin music video, which also has footage from Wednesday of members being whipped by the Cossack militia.
The song is called "Putin will teach you how to love the motherland," reports The Associated Press. Some of the lyrics in the song are "Sochi locked down/the Olympus under surveillance/Of guns and crowds and cops."
The video features footage of the punk band performing in Sochi, including when they were beaten by the Cossack militia on Wednesday. As previously reported, they were whipped as they tried to perform near an Olympic sign.
Pussy Riot, who has protested Putin as they claim he has overstepped his bounds as president and they have called for a boycott of the Olympic games, were detained several times since they arrived in Sochi. One excuse given by authorities was that they allegedly stole a woman's purse.
The International Olympic Committee even publicly called the whipping of band members as "very unsettling," notes the AP.
