Lead singer of Queens of a Stone Age, Josh Homme, lashed out during a concert this past weekend about the band’s Grammy miss and the finale being cut short.
According to Rolling Stone Homme jokingly said at a concert in Houston, “This next song is by Imagine Dragons. Just fucking kidding." Imagine Dragons beat out Queens of a Stone Age for Best Rock Performance at the Grammy’s, which had some critics questioning Imagine Dragons being in a “Rock” category to begin with. Homme then said, “Wait, wait, wait, you've got to admit, you're all imagining dragons right now. You know, f--k everything, f--k the man, f--k Imagine Dragons, f--k the Grammys, f--k all this shit.”
This is not the first time The Grammy’s have had the F-Word flung at them recently. The finale performance during the Grammy’s featured Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, Lindsey Buckingham, Queens of a Stone Age, and Dave Grohl, but was cut short at the end network ads, and the show had already run 15 minutes over time. Trent Reznor took to Twitter writing “a heartfelt F—K YOU guys” to which Grammy executive producer Ken Ehrlich apologized. Apparently, Josh Homme believes he deserves one too.
