The country pop trio Rascal Flatts released a video for their single “Rewind” off their upcoming yet-untitled album.
Don’t we all wish we had a time machine to relive a moment? That’s exactly what’s behind the conceptual video showing a man rewinding a cassette tape, allowing him to relive the date that just ended with his new found love. Of course it being a cassette, the man has some trouble, needing to flip it over when time freezes, and the inevitable explosion and manual rewind with a pen.
The song is what you expect from a Rascal Flatts love song; sharp, concise, and storytelling lyrics with the chorus Untouch your skin/Unkiss your lips and kiss 'em again/So good so right this is one night I'm wishing I could rewind. The sweet pop ballad is a definite for anyone’s mix tape, or playlist rather, to give to that loved one, right in time for Valentine’s Day.
Along with the album due out in the summer through Big Machine Records, Rascal Flatts will be hitting the road on their “Rewind Tour”. The tour starting in May sees the band through September, touring throughout North America, with Sheryl Crow and another country trio, Gloriana.
