Putting the whole horse meat scandal to shame, a Nigerian restaurant was shut down by authorities after it their food was found to contain human flesh.
The Mirror reports that police arrested 11 people, including the owner of the restaurant.
Most disturbingly, they also found at least two freshly severed human heads wrapped in cellophane. Police said roasted human head was on the menu--apparently the restaurateurs weren't even trying to keep it a secret.
They also found several weapons at the eatery, including two AK-47 rifles.
The Metro reports that police investigated the restaurant, name withheld, in Anambra after receiving a tip-off.
A nearby resident commented that he always noticed strange people frequenting the restaurant. A pastor told reporters that he had eaten at the establishment earlier this year.
“I ate at the restaurant and the bill was very high," he said. "The workers told me that I ate human flesh. I was shocked." Apparently though, he didn't think to report it.
