Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg have signed on to the upcoming Console Wars which is being helmed by Sony.
Sony purchased the rights for the upcoming Atlantic Books' title Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation. Which will be released in August. The novel was written by Blake Harris and is a behind-the-scenes business thriller that talks about how Sega took on Nintendo, IGN reported.
Atlantic Books' Toby Mundy spoke about the books upcoming release, "Blake Harris's amazing book has all the narrative drama of the work of Michael Lewis and Ben Mezrich. It should appeal to gamers and non-gamers alike," said Mundy.
Rogan and Goldberg will be directing the upcoming film, along with to with Scott Rudin producing, Variety reported. The duo are also writing their own script that they will direct from.
Rubin has a long resume including working on The Social Network, Captain Phillips and Moneyball.
Rogan and Goldberg have worked together on This is the End which they wrote and directed. The movie was a smash hit for Sony and did very well at the box office.
