Rock 'n' roll group Soundgarden is one of the many artists that will be performing during the first state side iTunes SXSW music festival. The band has just now announced that during their performance they will be playing Superrunknown in its entirety.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Superrunknown and the Seattle group wanted to do something special to recognize the album.
Soundgarden will be taking the stage on March 13th and will play every track off the album, for the first time in the bands history. The event will be streamed live and will be made available for purchase in the iTunes following the concert, Billboard reported.
Their performance will take place at ACL Live at the Moody Theater.
The festival has traditionally been held overseas and this is the first time that the iTunes musical festival will be taking place in the United States. Performers included, Coldplay, Pitbull, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson and Imagine Dragons, The AP reported.
Following their festival performance Soundgarden will be re-releasing Superrunknown with a variety of special features for fans that pick up the record including 10 unreleased tracks.
