The popular band Soundgarden will perform at the popular festival, South by Southwest.
On March 13, they will headline at the iTunes Festival in Austin, Texas. Over 1200 bands will play at South by Southwest. The festival runs from March 11 through March 16.
This year the band is honoring their 20th anniversary with the five disc collection called Superunknown.The multi-disc collection will be available on June 3. Superunknown’s first release eventually sold more than 5 million copies. The album boasted the hits, “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman.”
According to Rolling Stone, the band will also be releasing their music on vinyl. On April 19, fans will be able to purchase Superunknown: The Singles.
Members of Soundgarden include Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil, and Ben Shepherd.
Other bands that will be performing at South by Southwest include Coldplay and Keith Urban, according to the Associated Press. South by Southwest features five nights of performances by leading bands. In addition to performing at South by Southwest, Soundgarden will also headline Sasquatch! this Summer.
