Could the White Witch herself be penning songs for HBO's Game of Thrones in the near future? Stevie Nicks expresses her love for the show in a recent interview.
Stevie Nicks recently opened up to Radio Time about her experience grieving after the death of her mother in 2011, and her coping mechanisms may surprise you. Nicks reveals that she didn't leave the house for five months, but kept busy: "I watched the entire first season of Game of Thrones. That certainly took my mind off everything," she says. It's no surprise that the prolific songwriter and singer would become inspired by the intricate and emotional storylines of Game of Thrones . After all, Nicks did pen a number of songs based on another popular series - Twilight .
“I would love to write some music for the show," Nicks tells Radio Times, going on to say that she's already "written a bunch of poetry about it — one for each of the characters. On Jon Snow… on Arya… on Cersei… on Cersei and Jaime, the blonde on blonde… on Khaleesi." After her recent guest appearance on American Horror Story the Fleetwood Mac singer has shown she is ready and able to perform on television, and she definitely has the passion for Game of Thrones to pull it off. No word yet on if the show's producers are interested in featuring a Stevie Nicks original in the future.
Stevie also talked about her favorite characters on the show as she praised A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin, who is the same age as her, for his "vast, interlinked world". Nicks is big fan of the Khaleesi and Brienne of Tarth, but calls Margaery Tyrell "such a great evil person."
Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its fourth season April 7th.
