A Memphis teen fatally shot his friend after the two spent an evening taking photos posing with guns.
Cartrail Robertson, 13, was allegedly shot dead by Darrin Wilson, 15, on the morning of February 25, according to the New York Daily News. Authorities believe the teens were playing with the gun when it accidentally discharged.
Wilson was arrested and taken to juvenile detention. He has been charged with reckless homicide.
Just hours before his death, Robertson posted pictures of himself to Facebook in which he poses with a gun, is smoking what is suspected to be marijuana, and showing off large wads of $100 bills.
Police have stated that the investigation of the shooting is closed. However, the district attorney is investigating how the teens acquired guns in the first place, according to ABC News.
Vince Higgins of the Shelby County District Attorney General Office have stated the authorities are combing through Robertson’s Facebook page and the Facebook pages of his friends as part of the investigation.
