The country music group, the Band Perry, have offered to pay for the burial of a mother and her eight children who died in a house fire in Kentucky.
A fire started in the Watson family house on Thursday, January 30, 2014. The only survivors of the fire were the father, Chad Watson, and his 11-year-old daughter, Kylie. Chad is currently in critical condition.
The band, consisting of siblings Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry, decided to pay for all expenses. A family friend told CNN>/a> “I don’t know why The Band Perry reached out to the family other than they are just very gracious. The family doesn’t have any personal connection to the band before now.”
The fire was ruled an accident. Kentucky State Police Trooper Stuart Recke told
LA Times>/a> that “an electric baseboard heater ignited nearby combustible material.”
