Robert Smith's long-running band announced plans to release their 14th studio album, tentatively titled 4:14 Scream, due sometime this year. The band also plans to tour, putting on another "trilogy"-style live show.

Billboard reports the album was recorded in the same sessions as their last album, 4:13 Dream, which has sold over 97,000 copies to date. Their latest comes six years after their previous release.

The band also plans to release a set of live concert DVDs, presumably of their pending tour. The tour, in the vein of previous tours, will see the band playing three of their albums in full. Spin reports that this tour will focus on their mid '80s albums, including The Top, Kiss Me, Kiss me, and The Head in the Door.

Although dates for the tour have not yet been booked, The Cure has confirmed two dates at the Royal Albert Hall in London, to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
