The CW announced on Thursday that it has handed out a bunch of early renewals for many of the network's strongest shows.

Shows that have been given early renewals include the veteran shows Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and two shows that are in their first season, Reign and The Originals, Deadline reports.

Arrow continues to do well for the CW, with an average viewing audience of 3.9 million. Vampire Diaries is the network's top show in the important demos, even as the show is in its fifth season.

Supernatural continues to draw in viewers for its Tuesday timeslot and freshmen show The Originals has managed to do well despite its timeslot competition. Reigns' early renewal is a bit of a surprise since the show has struggled somewhat, but is still strong in its timeslot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, several shows were not given renewals yet, but may in the future. Beauty and the Beast, Hart of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries, The Tomorrow People, The 100 and Star-Crossed will likely have to wait until May upfronts to discover whether they will continue on or be cancelled.
