The bodies of two Pittsburgh sisters of an Iowa state representative were found Friday afternoon in the basement of their home.

CBS Local noted that sisters Susan Wolfe and Sarah Wolfe didn't show up for work and it sparked the investigation.

Authorities found the vehicle of Sarah Wolfe parked almost a mile away from her home.

Sarah Wolfe was a psychiatrist for Western Psychiatric Institute and her sister Susan was a teacher's aide at Hillel Academy.

"Sarah was known as a very compassionate, warm, caring and bright physician who was praised by patients, families, staff and colleagues," said Dr. Claudia M. Roth, CEO of Western Psychiatric.
