Legendary rock band made their new song, “Invisible” available on iTunes. A clip of “Invisible” was shown during the 2014 Superbowl.
The song was released in accordance with the rock band’s partnership with (RED). With this partnership, Bank of America donates $1 for every song downloaded. The money goes to the Global Fund, which works to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. The Global Fund was co-founded by U2 activist, Bono. The song will be available until Monday, Feb. 3 at 11:59 p.m. At that time, it will be taken off of iTunes, according to Billboard.
U2 is a popular band known for supporting causes. They have participated in Band Aid to raise money for famine in Ethiopia. Their Conspiracy of Hope tour continued in support of Amnesty International. Their albums include October, War, The Unforgettable Fire, Rattle and Hum, Pop, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, and No Line on the Horizon. Their documentary film, U2: Rattle and Hum was a great success with fans. The band was presented with the Sonny Bono Visionary Award at The Palm Springs Film Festival, according to Variety.
