A woman is accused of throwing steaks at a grocery employee in Brunswick, Ohio.
According to the Medina Gazette, Frances L. Slyman, was charged with misdemeanor assault after police were called to the Giant Eagle supermarket on Feb. 8 because the 44-year-old was chucking the steaks she ordered at an employee.
FOX8 reported that Slyman ordered thinly sliced filets at the meat counter and believed she heard the worker make a remark about her dieting husband’s weight. She then allegedly took the meats out of the cellophane and threw them at counter employee Alzbeta Barath, striking her in the eye and shoulder before police showed up.
The 64-year-old counter clerk told police that she did not say anything about the man’s weight when she took the couple’s order, but was chatting with another employee about diets.
Besides having slabs of raw meat thrown at her, Barath was not hurt in the steak attack.
Slyman has since been released from jail.
