Woody Allen responds to accusations of child molestation, made by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, calling them “untrue and disgraceful.”

Farrow made the claim online stating that Allen sexually assaulted her when she was 7. She was published via New York Times writer Nicholas Kristof’s blog.

Allen, a movie director, denied the allegations in the same manner he did back in 1992, when they were originally made. According to Yahoo, his publicist, Leslee Dart, stated that Allen has read Farrow’s post. He has never been charged for child molestation.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Allen will be making a more lengthy response in due time. His lawyer, Elkan Abramowitz, calls the situation “tragic” and said that, “The one to blame for Dylan’s distress is neither Dylan nor Woody Allen.”

In her letter, Farrow called to various actors that have been seen in Allen’s movies, asking them, “What if it had been you daughter?”

At this time, no new legal action is set to take place. The award-winning director and actor is still making movies presently.
