Obama and O’Reilly outmaneuver in pregame interview
President Barack Obama and Bill O’Reilly had a smack down of their own Super Bowl Sunday during a pregame interview.
O’Reilly pressed questions about controversies surrounding such issues as Healhcare.gov, the IRS scandal, and Benghazi. According to FoxNews, Obama kept up a solid defense despite O’Reilly’s offensive returns.
“You were very generous in saying I look pretty good, considering I’ve been in the presidency for five years, and I think part of the reason is I try to focus not on the fumbles, but on the next play.”
But offensive O’Reilly was. The infamous television host was determined to get more accountability from the President, as noted by ABCNews in regards to the controversy surrounding Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
The interview proved to be closer in score then President Obama’s prediction for the outcome of the Super Bowl. Despite some hostility, the interview ended with a touch of respect with O’Reilly’s post interview comment, “I know you think maybe we haven’t been fair, but I think your heart is in the right place.”
O’Reilly is expected to have a part two conversation on this Monday’s Factor.
