Oscar nominated screenwriter Billy Ray, who worked on Captain Phillips, has joined the upcoming project that will feature friends and co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill.
Ray also wrote the screenplay for the first film in the Hunger Games franchise, The Independent reported.
The upcoming project will be a film that will tell the story of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The script will be an adaptation of "The Ballad of Richard Jewell," which is based on an article that was featured in Vanity Fair and was written by Marie Brenner, Variety reported.
DiCaprio and Hill will be teaming up again following their work on the Oscar nominated The Wolf of Wall Street. Both actors are signed on to star in the upcoming project.
Producing the project will be DiCaprio along with Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Kevin Misher who discovered the article will also be a producer on the film.
Both actors have incredibly busy schedules, so it is unclear as to when the film will go into production and when the project will be arriving on the big screen.
