Aaron Paul's latest project, Need for Speed will be heading into the theaters soon in the United States and is also set for a wide release in China.

Need for Speed will be opening in China on March 14 and will be shown in 2D and 3D screenings, Variety reported.

3D films have become very popular over in the China and large format theaters such as IMAX have been drawing in box office numbers. The actioner will be handled by Huaxia Film Distribution and China Film Group.

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug has been doing very well overseas and in China. The second film in the The Hobbit franchise is playing on over 4,000 screens in China.

Need for Speedstars Dakota Johnson, Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots and Domenic Cooper, Fan Sided reported.

More American films have been getting a Chinese release, Despicable Me 2 recently opened to screens in China with a huge response from fans and at the box office.

Chinese sources have also confirmed that they will also be releasing Black Coal and Thin Ice on March 21st.
