Kiss original guitarist Ace Frehley announced the title for is new solo album, Space Invader, alsong with the release date of late June on Entertainment One Music.

According to Rolling Stone the guitar slinger will release his first solo in five years on June 24. RS noted the press release stated there will be “at least” nine new songs, along with a cover of Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker”. Space Invader marks Frehley’s sixth solo release since his self-titled debut solo album in 1978.

One fourth of the original Kiss line-up, the “Rock N Roll All Nite” hit makers will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year. Unfortunately the band will not be playing at their induction. In an candid interview with Classic Rock Magazine, Frehley stated his main issue about the induction is Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer will be included as well, having spent only a fraction of time in the 40 years of the band.

Frehley has been included in Revolver Magazine’s Revolver Golden Gods award ceremony this year as a presenter for the Dimebag Darrell “Best Guitarist” award, alongside Zakk Wylde who is also on the eOne record label.
