Actor Aaron Paul discusses ‘Need for Speed’

Actor Aaron Paul stars in the new movie, Need for Speed.

Paul said, “When I first saw the script for Need For Speed on my desk, I was like, ‘Ugghh. No! What are they doing?’ I instantly thought well they’re just trying to make another The Fast and the Furious. That’s what my first instincts were. But I read the script and was so surprised that there was such a great, gritty story behind all of it – an a lot of fun driving,” according to Euronews.

In terms of action films, Paul was seen as Rick in Mission: Impossible III. He plays Tobey Marshall in the movie, Need for Speed. He plays an ex-convict looking for revenge. The film also features Scott Mescudi plays Benny, a helicopter pilot, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Need for Speed is a racing video game-turned thriller. Director Scott Waugh kept many car stunts in the film. Many actors leave the difficult scenes to the stuntmen, but Paul drove as often as possible for the film.

The film opens on March 14.
