Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott is reportedly in talks to work with his Bachelorette director, Leslye Headland, again. He could take the lead role in Sleeping With Other People, which would pair him with Alison Brie.
Headland wrote the script for the film, which was originally slated to star Kirsten Dunst and Jason Sudeikis, but Dunst has since left the project, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The director recently spoke with THR and said that while Sudeikis’ deal is done, Scott and Brie aren’t officially onboard yet.
The film would find Sudeikis playing a womanizer who becomes romantically involved with a serial cheater.
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez are producing the film. They worked on Bachelorette, which became a Video On Demand hit, as well.
Brie has had a busy week lining up new projects. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that she will star in Get Hard with Kevin Hart and Ferrell. Variety also reported that she is executive producing a TV Land pilot called Teachers, which is based on a web series.
She is best known for her role on Community and also has a recurring part on Mad Men.
As for Scott, he just appeared in Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. While the future of Brie’s Community is uncertain, his NBC sitcom, Parks and Recreation, has just been renewed.
