Amazon, the popular company that brings books, movies, and music to consumers, is currently in talks with music labels to provide streaming music to listeners.
It’s a big year for streaming providers, as a whole. Fans have access to shows like The Americans with Amazon Prime. Apple and Google have offered options for music fans to enjoy their own streaming music services. Spotify and Pandora have also been leaders in the streaming music industry.
Amazon might break away from the pack, offering a streaming music service that would be combined the streaming television and film services they already provide. According to Re/code, Amazon is hoping the music service can be bundled with subscription package, Amazon Prime. The current price of a monthly subscription for Amazon Prime is $79 per month. According to The Verge, Amazon might up its monthly cost by $40 to include music with its television and movie packages.
Time will tell, but it could be one of the most comprehensive streaming services on the market.
