The arrest warrant issued for singer Anita Baker has been dismissed. The Grammy winner had a bench warrant against her for allegedly not paying $15,000 stemming from work done on her home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

Wayne County Circuit judge Edward Ewell dismissed the warrant on Monday, which was requested by the lawyer representing Ray Smith Painting and Decorating.

As we previously reported, Baker is being sued by the company, who claims she didn’t pay for various job slike painting, plastering and carpentry that they did in 2009.

Detroit Free Press reports Baker’s lawyer claimed the “Sweet Love” singer did not know about the lawsuit, which was filed in 2011. The warrant was issued for Baker’s failure to appear in court back in September for a creditor's examination.

Baker has tweeted about the ordeal, thanking fans for their support.

“THANK YOU, for ALL the LOVE & LIGHT u've sent my way. All is well 🙂 Light is Dim... But SHINING ANYway! Grateful 4 every lesson, ab,” she wrote. “There's always A Bully waiting on the playground to beat you up and take your lunch money. But, there are also the Grace of God, Friends, Family & My Fans &who Show Up & Hold Me Up.”
