OK, Arcade Fire is going to turn the lights off and whoever took their papier-mâché replica of guitarist Richard Parry's head can just put it on the desk and no one has to know.

The mask, which the band called "a one of a kind piece that is an essential component to our live show," was stolen during a Reflektor tour stop at Bridgeport, Connecticut. The band issued a statement through Brooklyn Vegan informing the person who took the bobble-head mask that they have photographic evidence of the burglary but they would prefer not to go to the police. The band is willing to give the benefit of the doubt, saying "perhaps this is all an innocent mistake and you meant to leave the venue with your own oversized papier-mâché rendition of Richard Parry's head?" Anyone with information on the missing prop should reach out through info@quest-management.com.

Arcade Fire front-man Win Butler recently mentioned the masks to Rolling Stone saying "For me, wearing a mask and dancing and being in the crowd – there's this whole inversion of society that happens."

The band's next show is in Mexico City on March 28th.
