There has been lots of talk that the Backstreet Boys and the Spice girls will come together for a 90s blast to the past and go on tour.

Open your Backstreet Boys books and find your Spice Girls lollipops and quickly become reacquainted with your love for the two—maybe butterfly hair clips, scrunchies and 3D Doritos will make a comeback too, but it’s highly unlikely. We’ll settle for the tour.

Brian Littrell told The Sun, “We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.”

That sound you just heard? That was millions of 90s kids screaming at the top of their lungs.

It’s not confirmed if Victoria Beckham will return to the group after ruling herself out. The last time the five piece performed together was during their reunion tour “The Return of The Spice Girls,” as reported by MTV News.

A stage musical called “Viva Forever” based on The Spice Girls’ music was created and the band was seen together at its 2012 premiere—the musical ended after seven short months based on bad reviews and slow ticket sales. The 2012 Olympics also called for the girl band’s presence.

Baby Spice, Emma Bunton teased that she would think about a residency in Las Vegas with the Spice Girls but only if they would be paid more than pop diva Britney Spears. Sporty Spice, Mel C., alluded that the band would reunite in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Wannabe.”

Fans of all ages would probably give their limbs for the opportunity to see these two acts play together—a 90s rarity that may never occur again.
