The Backstreet Boys are joining forces with Avril Lavigne for an extension of their World Like This Tour with dates in May and June.

Lavigne will act as the Backstreet Boys’ opening act for their North American tour dates, starting in early May.

According to USA Today, the tour dates were announced on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday morning.

Brian Littrell, a member of the Backstreet Boys, said in a statement, "We really wanted to put together a great show and do our best to give everyone their money's worth. Avril is an unbelievably talented artist who's a perfect fit to make these shows extra special for our fans."

A full list of dates can be found on their website.

ABC News reports the ‘90s boy band, which consists of Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson, made the announcement in a pre-taped segment from Norway.
They’re currently touring there and they said they wanted to extend the tour, and bring along special guest Lavigne, due to an “overwhelming demand on Facebook and Twitter.”
