Boston University coach Kelly Greenberg is accused of bullying her players.
According to the Bleacher Report, former players on the women’s basketball team at BU accuse Greenberg of portraying abusive behavior while coaching the team. Some ex-players stated that Greenberg pushed them to the point of considering suicide. Two of the four students making accusations walked away from their school scholarships in order to get away from the situation.
“I arrived (at the school) feeling very confident and motivated,” one of the former players, Dana Theobald, said. “Then I felt bullied, threatened, and emotionally abused by the coach. By the time I left, she had demolished me as a person.”
Greenberg, 46, has worked at BU for the last 10 years. The school has not commented on the case and has only released a statement saying they are investigating the situation. If Greenberg is proven to be guilty, it is likely she will lose her job.
The Boston Globe reports that Greenberg has faced similar allegations about seven years ago. Students back then claimed that Greenberg had made personal attacks at their mentality.
