Lorde recently crossed the 1 million mark in album sales for Pure Heroine and now she is being covered by rock 'n' roll royalty. Bruce Springsteen during a show in New Zealand covered Lorde's single, "Royals." The boss is currently on tour in New Zealand and Australia.
Springsteen took on the pop song during his Saturday show in Mt. Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, Billboard reported.
The Boss tweaked a few of the lyrics to "Royals" including changing "queen b" to "king b" and add a more gritty rock 'n' roll sound to the cover. He even growled through the most famous lyrics of the song "Gold teeth, Grey Goose, trippin' in the bathroom" and fans went wild.
The boss recently took on another unique cover when he sang AC/DC at a recent performance. He is currently on tour promoting High Hopes which was number one on the charts back in January.
"Royals" was on top of the Hot 100 charts for nine weeks last year and is the first female to have a debut album cross the 1 million marks since Adele's 19.
Rolling Stone added that this concert marked Springsteen's second-ever appearance over in New Zealand, he has not been back to play in New Zealand for eleven years.
