Katheryn Deprill, known as the “Burger King Baby”, reunites with her mother thanks to social media.

Deprill (27) was abandoned at only a few hours old in a Burger King bathroom. She was found wrapped in a red sweater and was adopted by Brenda and Carl Hollis. Now a mother to three, Fox News reports that it was after doctors pestered her for her medical history that Deprill decided to go to Facebook in an attempt to find her biological mother who abandoned her.

On March 2nd, Deprill uploaded an image of herself holding a sign to facebook. The sign read:

Looking for my birth mother
she gave birth to me September 15th

bathroom only hours old, Allentown PA.
Please help me find her by sharing my post. Maybe

Monday, March 24th, within just three weeks, the mother came forward, explaining that at 17 she was raped while abroad, and hid her pregnancy from her parents. She regretted abandoning her child and had claimed to be looking for her daughter as well.

Deprill told NBC felt “pure joy” upon meeting her mother. Deprill also says she bears a strong resemblance to her mother, and that "She is better than anything I could've ever imagined. She is so sweet and amazing. I'm so happy.”
