Cheryl Cole will be coming back to be a judge on the 11th season of the X Factor in the U.K., Simon Cowell announced the news on Twitter yesterday.

Cole was a judge for the previous seasons of the show back in 2010 and was briefly a judge on the U.S. version of the show, which has now been cancelled. Cowell explained that he was excited to have her back on X Factor team. “Most importantly, she is a brilliant judge of talent,” said Cowell.
The Hollywood Reporter added that also returning to the show will be Cowell himself who has not been featured on the U.K. version of the show for over three years.
X Factor is hoping to boost ratings with the return of Cole. The series saw higher ratings when she was a judge on the show, BBC reported.
X Factor was recently canceled in the United States due to low ratings.
