Lucy Hale first came to fame on the ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars. The young actress has been enjoying a long run playing Aria Montgomery on the hit show but now she is turning her focus and attention to music.

Hale explained that it has been a long road towards releasing her debut album, Road Between which will be hitting stores on June 3rd, Billboard reported.

"This has been a little bit of a process. I started in music, and I thought the music would happen before the acting So, I've been waiting a few years. I started the album process about two years ago. It's been a little bit of a wait, but I'm grateful that we held out to give it to people. So, there's a sense of relief right now. It's an awesome feeling," said Hale.

Hale explained that up until this point she has only been focusing on acting but she is ready and willing to balance both her acting career and music career because music has and always will be her first passion.

"I knew it was going to be a lot of long hours, and I knew I was going to be tired, but I had a gut feeling that right now was the right time to do it. I wake up in the morning, and feel so lucky that I love what I do. It's going to be a lot of traveling on the weekends when we start shooting the show again and start doing things with the music," said Hale.

The Pretty Little Liars star also explained that her influences are rooted in older country music like that of Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain.

Even with winning a People's Choice Award Hale says that her focus is still on music and letting the fans hear what she has been working so hard on.

With a hit TV show and an upcoming album, Hale has even found time to return to the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother in the final season, Wet Paint reported.
