Chris Pine showed up to a New Zealand court on Monday and plead guilty to the DUI charge he obtained earlier this month. He was in town to film Z for Zachariah and he was pulled over coming home from its wrap party.

Pine, known for playing Captain Kirk in Star Trek, 33, was fined $93 New Zealand dollars – which is $79 in U.S. dollars – and got his license suspended in New Zealand for six months.

When he was pulled over in the early hours of March 1, his blood alcohol level was 0.11. The bar he had attended for the party, Blue Pub in Methven, said in a statement at the time, “Chris Pine did not appear to staff to be intoxicated to a level where intervention might have been warranted."

CBS News notes Pine’s lawyer, Marilyn Gilchrist, entered the plea and told the judge at Ashburton District Court that he knows he was wrong for driving that night and he has been suffering emotionally and professionally because of his poor decision.

Pine told the crowd of fans waiting for him outside of the courthouse, "It's all good guys, it's all going to be okay,'' New Zealand Herald reports. He stopped and signed fans’ autographs but did not answer any of the media’s questions.
