After weeks of promotion, the film version of Veronica Mars has premiered in theaters. Creator Rob Thomas spoke about seeing the movie on the big screen.
Creator Rob Thomas told the LA Times on Thursday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, "I absolutely hope fans will go to theaters to experience this. All the Veronica Mars' fans have gotten to see it on television before. They know what that's like. But going to see it on the big screen with other Veronica Mars' fans, there's nothing like it. I know from experience. It's so fun."
According to Entertainment Weekly, Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell spoke at PaleyFest this week. Veronica Mars raised money on Kickstarter in order to bring the project to movie theaters.
The movie has the same name as a cancelled television show. The popular show was on television from 2004-2007. The movie stars Kristen Bell, James Franco, Jason Dohring, and Enrico Colatoni. The movie is simultaneously released on Video on Demand and streaming media.
