Former NFL star, Darren Sharper turned himself into Los Angeles police after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is accused of raping two women in Los Angeles.

According to USA Today, he will remain jailed in Los Angeles until he is extradited to New Orleans to be charged with two more rapes.
Sharper surrendered to Los Angeles police on Thursday night.

Police say he has been accused of raping nine women in five states. He allegedly raped two women in Los Angeles, two in New Orleans, two in Las Vegas, two in Arizona and one in Miami, Florida.

According to The New York Daily News, he usually meets two women at a nightclub, drugs both of them in a hotel room and then rapes one. He allegedly drugs his victims with the sleeping aid, Ambien.

Sharper can face up to 3o years in prison if convicted in Los Angeles. He may also face life behind bars if he is convicted in New Orleans.

After he retired from the NFL, he worked for the NFL network as an analyst. He was suspended without pay after he was charged with sexual assault.
