P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Diddy, or whatever rapper Sean Combs is going by these days, has changed his name once again. Over the past 20 years, he’s changed his name so many times that nobody really knows what to call him anymore.

He was born Sean John Combs, and then, according to MTV, went from Puff, to Puff Daddy, to Puffy, to PuffMagicDiddy, Diddy, P. Diddy and now he is back to Puff Daddy. In a preview trailer for his new music video for his song “Big Homie,” with French Montana and Rick Ross, the credits refer to him as Puff Daddy.

On Monday night, he even tweeted, “For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! 🙂 Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie.” Well if that’s the case, why is his twitter handle @iamdiddy? It’s becoming hard to keep up!

Back in 2011, when he wanted to turn over a new leaf, he even told MTV, “No more Puff Daddy.” It seems he’s quite inconsistent with his name changes, but P. Diddy and Diddy seem to be in the past. “We’re gonna have a name change ceremony,” he said. “I’m not doing it as serious as Prince [but] I just want something fresh…I’m rockin’ with P. Diddy now.” Well, not for long, apparently.

HotNewHipHop reports that with his new album MMM, which will be coming out soon, comes a new name change. It’s unclear if this name is just for the new album, or if this is permanent, but we should all probably just assume that with his track record, he won’t be Puff Daddy forever.
