Following Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s separation announcement, a photo surfaced of Paltrow kissing her ex-boyfriend Donovan Leitch on the lips six months ago surfaced.
Leitch is now speaking out about the photo, maintaining it was an innocent and even friendly kiss.
“I was just saying goodbye to her. It was purely innocent. We were sitting in the owner’s box in front of 30,000 people with her two children right next to us. That isn’t exactly the setting for a secret liaison,” he told Mail Online.
He added, “But the telephoto picture turned it into more. But it’s her. Her life is constantly under surveillance. Gwyneth and I have always been close.”
The British actor continued to say Paltrow is “one of my closest friends.”
Paltrow and Martin are now rumored to have had an open relationship, which Vanity Fair’s Graydon Carter was going to expose before he made up with the Oscar-winning actress and he decided not to run the piece.
