Drake is preparing once again for his upcoming OVO Festival and has just received a 30,000 Canadian dollars grant from the government for his festival. The grant equals around $268,000 in U.S. currency.

The grant comes from Ontario's Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and was given to Drake to help put together his annual OVO Festival which will be happening this year on August 3rd and 4th, Rolling Stone reported.

A story that was featured on Global News explained that this grant money comes from tax payers but this is a normal action for the Canadian government.

A government initiative which is called to as "Celebrate Ontario" helps to fund programs like OVO, which is one of many programs that receives funding. "Celebrate Ontario" was created to help fund "new and existing Ontario festivals and events enhance their programs," their website explained.

The only two artists currently on the bill for the festival are the newly reunited Outkast and Drake himself.

The "Forever" rapper has been keeping busy with a global tour and debuting a new song "Call On Me" during a recent show this past weekend. Drake was also featured on the latest Young Money collaboration album which features the best of the best on the label.
