ESPN host Michelle Beadle was asked to prom by Minnesota teen Jack Jablonski – and she said yes!
The brave teen asked the 38-year-old during his weekly “Hockey Night in Minnesota” radio segment where Beadle was a guest on the show, according to E! News.
“Seriously, I would live it,” the sportscaster replied. “Can I wear an ‘80s dress to the prom? They’re going to be like, ‘Why’d you bring a chaperon, Jack?’”
Beadle met Jablonski after he was in the news due to a hockey game accident that left him paralyzed, according to Daily News.
The blonde beauty wasn't the only one inspired by the teens story. His will to fight his initial diagnosis captured the attention of many NHL players, including Rangers and Minnesotan Derek Stephan and Ryan McDonagh.
“I know that he’s a badass and someone I look up to immensely,” Beadle told Larry Brown Sports about Jablonski. “I was shocked when he asked today. And I adore him for doing it live on the radio. I’m honored to squeeze my 38 year old behind into a formal gown for a great night!”
Beadle later took to Twitter to joke about the upcoming date, writing, “"Woke up with a pimple. I blame @Jabs_13."
Jablonski cutely wrote back, "@MichelleDBeadle it's that high school life... #pubertyround2."
