It seems to constantly in the changing. Most recently short 15-second videos ads will be added to the social media site as a way to generate more revenue.
It was announced on Thursday that Facebook users could expect to see the videos in the next few months starting in early April and feature premium ads from select advertisers reported Wall Street Journal. Testing for the ads began back in December however went through many delays before the most recent announcement according to Bloomburg.
CEO, Mark Zuckerberg was heavily involved in the project taking a cautious approach in order to prevent from losing Facebook users. The ads will begin playing without sound however will stop if a person scrolls past them. Further if a person taps on the video the ad will become full0screen and sound will start.
Advertisers will be able to select a time frame it wishes for the ads to air and select the frequency and reach of the promotion. These ads will cost from $1 million to $2.5 million a day.
