Finished with filming Fifty Shades of Grey, star Dakota Johnson is in talks to join the cast of the Whitey Bulger film Black Mass.
If cast, Johnson would play Lindsey, who was Bulger's girlfriend and mother of their 6-year-old son, according to Deadline, who first reported the possible casting.
She would get to act alongside Depp who was previously cast as Bulger. He was originally attached to the project last year, but left reportedly over a contract dispute, but later returned.
Others cast in the film include Guy Pierce, who was cast only last week, to play Bulger's politically powerful brother Bill.
Joel Edgerton is set to play FBI agent John Connolly, who many believed tipped off Bulger about his impending arrest, which caused Bulger to slip away and remain on the run for almost a decade.
Barry Levinson was first set to be director, but has since left the project and Scott Cooper was tapped to helm Black Mass for Warner Bros.
