A class-action lawsuit was filed on Monday against Fitbit in San Diego county, California. This lawsuit comes one month after the company voluntarily recalled its activity tracking fitness bracelet the Fitbit Force.

Thousands of users reported rashes and other skin problems caused by the Force. According to cnetthe US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that 9,900 people suffered skin irritation and 250 people reported blistering.

The lawsuit was filed because people wanted more than just the product recall and halt of sales. According to the Wall Street Journal the lawsuit alleges the company misled consumers and is asking Fitbit to notify everyone who bought the Force in California and refund the full price of $130 along with tax and shipping fees. Additionally it is asking that Fitbit disclose exactly what is causing the skin problems.

Fitbit was founded in 2007 and it looks like they’ll be facing more trouble soon as several other law firms are reportedly going to take legal action against the Fitbit Force.
