Authorities have said that five juveniles are now in custody for allegedly attacking three Temple University students on Friday.
According to WPVI, on Tuesday police announced that they had arrested the juveniles in connection with the attacks. The perpetrators likely range in age from 8 to 14.
The suspects were arrested just one day after authorities released surveillance footage of the group believed to be involved.
The Daily Mail noted that in one case, a male and female were walking together when about 10 children started to taunt them. The female started to push them back and told them to stop and that is when she was punched and then twice smashed in the face and head with a large brick. The 19-year-old student have to have emergency surgery at a nearby hospital to save her dislocated teeth.
Police said that the juvenile who hit the student with the brick is among those in custody.
Two other students also reported being assaulted by a group of children the same day.
Charges against the girls taken into custody were pending as of Tuesday early evening.
