A Florida mother has landed in jail after police said that she helped her teenage daughter host a wild house party.
According to the New York Daily News, Carolyn Weinand helped her daughter throw the wild party then hid and lied about her whereabouts when the cops showed up.
The mother spoke to the arriving officers over the phone, after her daughter gave them her cell phone number. Weinand allegedly said that she was out town, but the cops found her hiding in a bedroom.
Naples police said that they went to the residence on Tuesday after receiving a noise complaint. When they got there many teens started to run and they discovered discarded cans, bottles and marijuana in the yard.
KSHB reported that the 56-year-old faces one misdemeanor charge of having an open house party and 26 other counts of selling, giving or serving alcoholic beverages to minors.
Her 18-year-old daughter Mariel, also faces charges for having an open house party.
The mother-daughter duo have since been released.
