Footage from ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is shown at Cinema Con

At Cinema Con on Tuesday, the first footage from the new film, Fifty Shades of Grey, was released.

The movie is based on E.L. James’ bestselling book. The film was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. It stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, according to the LA Times. In James’ book, Christian is a dominant force.

The Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley lead the presentation. The clip that was showed at Cinema Con featured Dakota Johnson meeting with Jamie Dornan in Grey’s office. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grey said in the clip, “Hearts and flowers –that’s not who I am.”

Many film showed clips at Cinema Con this year. Universal mentioned movies that will premiere in the summer like Neighbors, A Million Ways to Die in the West, Lucy and Dumb and Dumber To. Executives from Universal all had their say, including Ron Meyer, Jeff Shell, and Nikki Rocco. Rocco spoke about the need for great movies to be in the theaters all year.
