Peter Dinklage, who has won acclaim for his performance on HBO’s Game of Thrones, is reportedly in talks to join Pixels, a film in development at Sony. The project already has Adam Sandler, Josh Gad and Kevin James onboard.
The film is being set up with four male lead roles. Sandler, James and Gad joined last month. Dinklage would play the fourth lead, reports TheWrap.
Pixels is about legendary video game characters coming to life to destroy New York City. James, Sandler, Gad and Dinklage will play video game designers who may be the city’s only hope. It is based on a short film by Patrick Jean.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Herlihy and Tim Dowling have written the script. Jean is an executive producer, along with Sandler and Jack Giarraputo of Happy Madison. One More Production's Benjamin Darras, Johnny Alves and Mathias Boucard are also producing. Chris Columbus, who directed the first two Harry Potter movies, is directing.
Dinklage will be seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The new season of Game of Thrones starts on HBO on April 6.
