George Zimmerman appeared as a celebrity guest at a gun show in Orlando, Florida on Saturday. He signed autographs and took pictures with over 200 people at The Arms Store.

While there, he talked about his supporters and wanting to repay them by making this appearance despite being cautious of his safety.

He told Florida’s Fox 35 of the Arms Room, “Of course I always stay cognizant of the fact that there are threats. The concept of being able to pay them back for what they did for me and seeing my supporters face to face was something I just couldn't pass up."

Zimmerman also talked about the fact that some see him as a celebrity, and he was asked if he sees himself as one. "No, I still don't, never have. I was asked to [participate in the boxing match]. And if I'm given the opportunity to do good with it, I'd prefer to do good with it then to not,” he said.

TMZ reports the photo Zimmerman was signing for supporters was of himself and his dog. The site said there were about 20 people standing in line waiting to take a photo with him.

Zimmerman was acquitted of murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. This marked the first public appearance since his acquittal.
